As people get older they tend to accumulate unexpired medications and vitamins. Often the bottles and tubes are kept in a single drawer or plastic bag and sometimes the medications and vitamins for multiple family members are intermixed.
Many times the information on the label is confusing or difficult to read. Generic names make the problem worse. Often it is not clear what the medication or vitamin is used for. The usage information is rarely printed on the label since the pharmacy is not permitted to print anything that is not on the prescription and the doctor often does not indicate the usage, since “you should know why you are being medicated”.
If you do not use the medication regularly, you can forget or be confused about which medication to take for the particular condition. This confusion can be harmful or even dangerous. As people age, the problem worsens.
In order to help people solve this problem, I have created a website called http://www.labels4meds.com/ which provides an inexpensive way of producing high-quality customized medication and vitamin labels. Each label can be printed with a unique shape (like a heart) printed in a unique color (like red) with big bold words describing the medication or vitamin usage (like Blood Pressure). The colors and shapes can be assigned any meaning you wish, or you can just accept the default values.

For example: a color can be assigned to each family member, or just have a special meaning.
I created this blog to help inform people of the problem and one solution. I am hoping to create a forum for experiences, problems and other solutions on this subject.
Check out my web site and please let us all know your opinions, comments or thoughts. If you believe my product is helpful, please spread the word; you might just help someone else from falling victim to the ever growing labeling problem.
Thanks
